“I joined the scheme straight after completing my English Literature degree at Bristol University and in my first year I had four different placements around Capita Resourcing and worked on various projects. These included helping to set up a new specialised sourcing team within the Capita internal recruitment function, working with the strategic solutions manager on a knowledge management platform and setting up a preferred supplier list for a new contract win for one of the account teams. I now work on the Capita Group Talent team and have been involved with a Group wide project to implement a new succession planning process as well as several other exciting and challenging projects. The experience has been fantastic and everyone has been so helpful. My move from Capita Resourcing to Group Talent really shows the breadth of what Capita do and how many opportunities are open to employees.”

“I spent a few years travelling and working in sales before going to University to study Business Finance & Investment. Since joining Capita I’ve been exposed to numerous varied and challenging projects. One such project involved transitioning work to our near shore site in Krakow, where I ultimately ended up living for 18 months. Currently I have a role in one of our regulated businesses managing our compliance with the treatment of Client Assets whilst also training as a management accountant. Every experience I’ve had so far has been rewarding, created growth opportunities and has been fast paced. The network I’ve built since joining has proved truly invaluable.”

“Before joining Capita I had just completed an Economics and Politics degree with the majority of my work experience being in HR. This specialism has meant I’ve got to work with lots of different internal teams, including; Marketing, Project Management, Bids and Training and Development. The breadth of products and services Capita offers has meant I’ve had the opportunity to work with clients from a range of markets including Central Government, Education and Local Government. In 2015, I transitioned to a project management role for the Digital Solutions business, where I’m working with clients from a range of sectors to help them transform services and operations through the implementation of innovative technology and solutions.

The best advice I could offer is to network – it really will help you to understand the different functions of the business and ultimately make your career and experience far more rewarding.”

"I started my journey working for Capita Real Estate in marketing and bids. Following this fantastic opportunity in London I moved back to the North and worked with the Local Government, Health and Property bid team which was a great experience. In June 2015 I moved over to Parking Services, part of Integrated Services, and carried out a variety of sales, marketing and product development based roles before taking on a permanent contract in October 2015. Everyone that I have come across on my Capita journey has been exceptionally helpful and the fact that I still keep in regular contact with the majority of people is testament to the brilliant relationships that have been built.I now work in Capita Transformation, the consultancy arm of Capita, working in a fast paced environment with a variety of clients with varying needs, which is something that I enjoy.”

The application process

To begin with, you’ll be asked to set up a profile on our application portal which will give you the opportunity to look at the range of graduate career opportunities we have available.

Apply to your preference of programme or role and we will ask you a few simple questions. In some cases, you will have to prepare a small written piece. Once through the first section of the

If you’re successful we will invite you to attend a telephone interview, at a time suitable to you. The final stage will be dependent on the role or programme that you are applying to. We may ask you to attend an assessment centre. Alternatively, you may be asked to attend an interview for specialist roles, allowing you to get a real understanding of day-to-day life in in a role with us.
