Capita at the LGA Conference 2017

Birmingham International Convention Centre, 4-6 July

Come and meet Capita at this year’s LGA conference, where we will share ideas to help you drive positive change for your people and place. We'll be looking at how organisations can unlock value for their communities through people, place, digital transformation and leadership.

Place: Winning Cities – winning regions

Wednesday 5 July, 8:15 - 9:15 (breakfast fringe event - Hall 6)
How do you make your place attractive to investors? Discuss the findings of the recent Centre for Cities report and learn the key drivers that influence investment and development decisions.

Digital Transformation: Moving along the digital maturity curve

Wednesday 5 July, 11:45 - 12:45 (workshop - Hall 7)
Find out how to move yourself along the digital maturity curve by getting advice from councils who have already succeeded and unlocked a digital future for their communities.

People: Rebooting health and social care integration

Wednesday 5 July, 18:00 - 19:00 (report launch drinks reception - Discovery Terrace, Library of Birmingham, Centenary Square, B1 2ND - next to ICC).
Join us at the library’s open air roof terrace for drinks to launch our new report on health and social care integration. Developed by Localis, the report aims to set out practical integration activities which organisations can deliver in return for much needed financial benefits.
Register for the drinks reception

Leadership: The changing role of leadership in local government

Tuesday 4 July, 19:00 (Veredus and NLGN private dinner - Crowne Plaza Birmingham City Centre, Central Square, Birmingham B1 1HH)
The role of local government is evolving which places increasing demands on the individuals leading councils. Complex service and resource challenges require creativity, resilience, and deeper workforce insight. More active collaboration across public services requires ‘whole place’ influence. This private dinner will bring together prominent figures in local government to discuss how we can overcome these barriers to success. Places are limited and invite only. If you would like to attend please email rsvp@nlgn.org.uk.
