Applebee's
Applebee’s was confronted with the challenge of how to communicate local differences in menus and special offers from restaurant to restaurant. Capita created an extranet where individual restaurants can log in and choose the specific menu items they want to feature, add specials for the week, post job openings and messages, etc. on their local pages. Once reviewed, the restaurants hit submit and the information is updated on the local page that can be found by searching via zip code on the corporate site.

Mars Foods Services
Mars Research Library
Capita developed a centralized research library with more than 50,000 documents for Mars using Microsoft’s SharePoint application. This library allows employees from across the company to access key research data when they need it.
Mars KnowledgeVault
Capita created a portal communications platform for Mars’ sales force to share information and receive important sales statistics, product and pricing information, and key sales presentations. The solution is easily managed by employees with few technical skills so that all can post and comment on information, receive outside information feeds, etc.
In addition, Capita developed a custom presentation application, called the “Presentation Builder,” that allows users to open multiple PowerPoint presentations, select individual slides and rearrange them into a new presentation before downloading it.
