Tortoise ThinkIn - Food and fuel: are essential services failing the most vulnerable?

how can critical infrastructure protect the vulnerable post covid-19

Thursday 18th November 2021 | 8.30am – 9.30am

The pandemic and faltering supply chains have put a strain on Britain's critical infrastructure – and exposed the most vulnerable people to hunger, isolation and energy insecurity.

This winter could see more queues for petrol, bare supermarket shelves and rising fuel bills. Private companies, as well as the government, are responsible for making sure everyone has access to essential goods and services – how do we make sure they are doing their job, and nobody falls through the gap?

We’re hosting a ThinkIn with Tortoise on Thursday 18th November where we’ll be discussing these questions, along with the results of our exclusive ‘the great opportunity’ research, conducted in partnership with YouGov.

The session will be moderated by Tortoise Editor Alexi Mostrous with expert speakers including Katy Taylor, Chief Customer Officer, Southern Water and Chris Cartwright, Head of Critical Infrastructure, Capita Consulting.
