Universities UK (UUK) recently held their 2013 annual conference at the University of Leicester, with Capita a key sponsor of the event. The conference was attended by members of UUK, representing the heads of the UK’s higher education institutions, or their nominated representative, for example pro-vice-chancellors. Other invited guests include senior government officials and opposition party MPs, UK funding bodies and key stakeholders from the higher education (HE) sector.
As a committed partner to the UK HE sector and major sponsor of the event, Capita’s education market director, Andy Shenstone, delivered a thought provoking seminar to delegates exploring how new forms of partnership between the private sector and higher education can drive significant improvement in both the student experience and the bottom line.
The discussion explored the value to be secured from such partnerships and lessons from other sectors, as well as taking the views and opinions from delegates on what higher education institutions see as their priorities – and how the private sector can respond. A team of artists were on hand to capture all the ideas and contributions to produce a live illustration of content from this interactive and informative session.
