The Summit focuses on leadership development, best practice assessment and critical thinking around burning issues, all whilst adding challenging views and hard-won personal experience from high profile thought-leaders from across the public, private and voluntary sectors.
This years’ Summit includes a plenary and innovation session from Capita’s digital innovation director, Dr. Catherine Howe. Capita client John Hooten, chief executive of Barnet Council, and Dr. Catherine Howe will also have speaking slots in the innovation hub.
Plenary with Dr. Catherine Howe - Friday 3 November, 11:15
This session is designed to challenge. How digital ready are you? And how savvy is your authority when it comes to procuring the right tools fit for the future? In a digital age, leaders of public sector organisations need to know enough about digital applications and trends to effectively lead in this space. It’s no longer good enough to ‘not do computers’. Digital technology is already revolutionising the way the world works. Your communities already do digital – do you?
Dr. Catherine Howe - Wednesday 1 November, 15:00 – 15:30
Catherine Howe will explore the ‘8 tribes of digital’ that exist within all organisations. The session will help delegates to understand which tribes are present and at what level of maturity. By the end of the session, senior leaders will have the tools and mindset to better shape their own digital agenda.
John Hooton - Thursday 2 November , 13:00 – 13:50
John Hooton, chief executive of Barnet Council, and Catherine Howe will discuss the digital initiatives implemented at Barnet Council which are helping to unlock value for the Barnet community. Our digital innovation will halve the borough’s costs by 2020 and ensure residents have access to high-quality services they can depend on.
