The event brought together colleagues from across the business for a fun-filled adventure race at our jointly-owned Entrust Outdoor Education Centre in Shugborough, Staffordshire. As we approach two years of partnership with The Prince’s Trust, the money raised through the Capita Challenge brings our partnership total to over £600,000.
47 teams of four competed for the chance to be crowned Challenge champions and employees travelled from far and wide to take part in the day, including a team all the way from our offices in Poland. The sunny day started with a 20 strong Samba band performance from Batala Mersey to get teams ready for the day, followed by our Army Outreach Team's warm-up activity.
The challenge itself involved activities are varied as puzzles, quizzes, kayaking, climbing, shooting, orienteering, and inflatable assault courses. Musician Tom Crouch, who was helped by The Prince’s Trust himself, rounded the day off with a fantastic performance whilst participants enjoyed a tasty lunch.
Employees volunteered on the day from across the business and The Prince’s Trust helped out too, entering a team of Prince's Trust ambassadors, and delivering an inspirational talk to remind our people what their fantastic fundraising goes towards.
