Capita Real Estate announces expansion of graduate scheme

Capita Real Estate has announced today that 18 new graduates have joined its 2016 graduate scheme, a significant expansion of the scheme which last year saw six graduates join the company.

The 18 new graduates are taking initial placements across the business and subsidiary GL Hearn, including in property management, development group, corporate real estate, valuation and retail advisory.

One of the new graduates, Lottie Smallwood, is joining the private sector development consultancy team after graduating from the University of Sheffield Hallam with a degree in Real Estate. She said: “I’m thrilled to be one of Capita’s real estate graduate trainees – I’ve always been passionate about the sector, and this scheme gives me a chance to learn from some of the best in the business.”

Each graduate will take up four different roles across Capita Real Estate over the next two years, as well as being given the opportunity to take the RICS APC training qualification to become a chartered surveyor.

This expansion of our graduate scheme is a recognition of the importance of young talent to Capita, and a substantial investment in the future of the business. We are offering graduates the chance to learn on the job, alongside senior-level mentoring and development opportunities they couldn’t get access to anywhere else. We’ll be helping them to take the first steps of their property careers by introducing them to a broad range of different property specialisms across the business.
