OAT has a head office based in Birmingham and comprises of 34 primary and secondary academies spread across the UK, with regional hubs in the north, south, east and west.
The framework covers all aspects of the Trust’s ICT services, from its academies network management, email, storage, security, software and hardware management to IT support services, consultancy and advice. All academies in the group can now choose to purchase these Capita services via the ICT framework.
Initially, three academies will use the framework to outsource their ICT Managed Service, with Capita managing all aspects of their ICT provision. The first of these projects commenced in December 2017, and other academies have the option to benefit from the ICT framework as their current managed service agreements come to end-of-term.
Capita offers our academies a cost-effective, reliable and flexible ICT Service. Its education technology experience, knowledge of the sector, and service delivery capability will offer a service which will enable our academies to focus on the important aspects of teaching and learning – our key priority. We also identified significant cost savings from working with Capita, which we can re-invest in areas across the Trust that will impact positively on students and outcomes.
Chief executive officer, Ormiston Academies Trust

At Capita we strive to deliver education technology services that offer the greatest flexibility to meet each customer’s specific requirements. We look forward to working with the Trusts’ leaders and their academies in the future.”
