Under this new contract, Capita Entrust will provide structured and high-quality adventure training that prepares recruits for various challenges they may face in their military careers. This includes supplying personnel to delivering technical outdoor adventurous activities, including rock climbing, mountaineering, caving, and paddle sports such as kayaking and canoeing. Additionally, Capita’s stores team will conduct regular inspections to ensure all personal protective equipment (PPE) meets the highest safety standards and is correctly maintained.
Colonel Angus Philp from the Soldier Academy said: “Adventurous Training is an important component of the Common Military Syllabus which gives our young soldiers the foundation skills for their military careers. The challenging nature of these activities develops mental resilience, teamwork and leadership skills, as well as providing an opportunity to demonstrate and embed the Army’s values and standards.”
Claire McAnulty, Managing Director for Capita Entrust said: “This contract is an exciting next step for Capita Entrust with the MoD, and testament to the relationship we have developed over the past four years that has been focused on collaboration and innovation.
“Our focus is to provide safe and effective training that will instil British Army values and standards in recruits, contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the MoD's operations, including the country’s national preparedness.”
