Senior Pensions Technician

We are looking for 5 Senior Pensions Technicians to support the operations team on complex case work. As well as technical DB pension calculations experience you will have a passion for identifying, designing and implementing process improvements with a focus on operational readiness ensuring we have a positive training and coaching environment so we are continually improving the customer experience.
Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- Support the team on complex casework, high value cases and complaints.
- Process all events in accordance with agreed working practices in order to meet deadlines and costing of non-standard projects.
- Lead on projects linking in with all key stakeholders within the department or business areas.
- Actively represent the team in department and company activities and projects.
- Test and sign off processes and calculations, ensuring work is completed in line with service level agreements and scheme rules.
- Understand the importance of continuous improvement and be able to collate and interpret data to seek opportunities to improve the customer experience, challenging current processes
- Design and implement process improvements
- Provide input into development / training action planning
- Adapt to varying demands and complex workloads with a commitment to ensure tasks are completed to deadline whilst maintaining excellent levels of quality
- Participate in and promote good team communication and share knowledge and expertise with other team members
What are we looking for
- Strong technical pensions knowledge in DB pension schemes
- Experience of manual / complex pensions calculations
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications including excel and be comfortable with vlookups and macros
- Ability to identify the need for change and process improvements and contributing to driving that change forward across teams
- Strong team work ethic, with experience coaching and mentoring others
- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical and data-analysis skills
