🕒 Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week on a term time only basis

📍 HMS Raleigh, Cornwall

🔐 Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster – as a training Delivery Instructor/Maintainer you will deliver seamanship instruction, support training delivery and assessments, act as an expert user for training equipment, maintain water safety equipment, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Job Description

What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver instruction in Seamanship aspects such as Rigging (splicing), Water safety equipment maintainer/supervisor, Sea survival techniques.
  • Undertake direct support tasks for training delivery activity, post delivery assessments and post-delivery activities.
  • Act as expert end user for specified training equipment.
  • Undertake Water safety equipment maintenance utilising the Water safety equipment log.
  • Ensure company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with.

What we’re looking for

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience in Splicing various types of cordage.
  • Experience as s Water safety equipment supervisor/maintainer.
  • DCTS (defence train the trainer) or equivalent.
  • Proficient in using IT within the workplace.

Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Sea survival instructor.
  • Safety swimmer qualification.
  • RYA powerboat level 2 coxswains qualification.
  • Power boat Instructor.
  • Lifting equipment examiner
