Assistant Company Secretary – 6 months fixed term contract starting end November/first week December

Hybrid – requirement to be in the London office (Kingdom Street, Paddington) once a week

Able to consider applicants interested in 4 days

We have an exciting opportunity for a UK qualified Company Secretary to join our team for a 6 - month fixed term contract. You’ll be working closely with the Deputy Company Secretary and our overseas India based Company Secretarial team.

Successful candidates must be a member of the Chartered Governance Institute in the UK and possess professional expertise in handling Secretarial activities compliances (MNC exposure).

Job Description

What we’re looking for:

Essential:

  • Member of the Chartered Governance Institute in the UK
  • Possess professional expertise and domain knowledge in handling Secretarial activities and compliance (MNC exposure)
  • Experience working with overseas colleagues

In addition, you will also have:  

  • Demonstrable confidence to effectively manage stakeholder expectations
  • Strong intuition to identify challenges and be solution oriented
  • Sound business acumen, good organisational awareness and strategic approach to problem solving
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation & communication skills
  • Highly responsive, accountable, proactive and reliable
  • A positive and harmonious work culture even during extreme work pressure and challenging times.
  • Ability to manage multi-tasking and cross scaling at work

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing full secretarial support on Key/Special Projects such as Internal BTA, SPA, new branch formation Liquidation, New Process implementation, Entity Disposal, Pre-Disposal Legal Queries/Warranties
  • Reviewing and finalising critical secretarial tasks, documents and end to end process execution
  • Managing Stakeholder relationship and expectations
  • Collaborating and partnering with key stakeholders to manage key deliverables
  • Identifying newer opportunities and new ways of working to enhance excellence at work and better delivery output
  • Maintaining flexibility of resources and optimum utilisation of resources within team, step in for performing secretarial tasks during pressure and do Annual/Half Yearly Release
  • Continuing a two-way communication with stakeholders and feeding regular updates on key tasks/projects, escalations and challenges if any.
