The Operations Assistant will use software to monitor and update staff timetables, pupil registers, assets, and payments, and will provide regular email and phone liaison with families, schools, and teachers.

A part time Operations Assistant is required to support service delivery, business compliance, and to work alongside the Music Service operations and management teams to achieve the business and commercial objectives as set by the Head of Service.
The role is primarily to be accountable for managing stock and resources (instruments and equipment) and delivering stock to schools using a company vehicle. The Operations Assistant will use software to monitor and update staff timetables, pupil registers, assets, and payments, and will provide regular email and phone liaison with families, schools, and teachers. The role will also involve supporting our annual cycle of concerts and events.
Part time (22.5 hours per week). Ideally Monday – Wednesday. This is a hybrid role, with attendance at the office & other sites required.
What you’ll be doing:
Being accountable for identified aspects of operational service delivery:
Managing stock and resources (instruments and equipment).
Delivering stock to schools using the company vehicle.
Using software to monitor and update staff timetables, pupil registers, assets, and payments.
Providing email and phone liaison with families, schools, and teachers.
Supporting our annual cycle of concerts, events, and CPD.
Undertaking pre-defined and ad-hoc requests as required by Music Service managers.
Ensuring volumes are forecasted and resources planned in preparation to meet demand.
Contributing to agreed service Key Performance Indicators.
Any other duties as may arise in connection with the activities mentioned above.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
The ability to accurately follow processes and procedures and to deliver against an agreed plan or objectives.
Clear written and oral communication skills.
The flexibility to cope with varying demands and tight deadlines.
The ability to travel countywide to support concerts and events.
The ability to operate individually and as part of a team.
Flexibility to support service needs including occasional out of hours work (evening and weekends).
An honest, reliable, and motivated approach to work.
The willingness to respond positively to change and improvement.
A full driving licence - Essential
