Capita plc announces it has been appointed to the Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Dynamic Purchasing System Grant Administration Services framework.

The UK government currently disburses over £100bn every year in grants and funded schemes. CCS has established the framework to support central government departments and the wider public sector to buy grant administration services. These services are used to create and administer schemes which disburse public funds to improve social, economic and health outcomes for UK citizens and businesses.

Capita is one of several suppliers appointed to the framework and will offer grant administration services powered by its digital platform, GrantIS, augmented with flexible delivery services.

GrantIS is Capita’s digital platform for automated, effective grant scheme management. GrantIS simplifies scheme setup, reduces administration and compliance efforts and offers real-time performance tracking. It also offers a significantly improved user experience for applicants, by allowing them to check the status of their applications, removing one key frustration with most schemes today.

Capita’s digital grant management services give public sector grant makers, such as central government departments, local authorities and local enterprise partnerships flexibility in operating funding programmes. It also minimises fraud and improves transparency by providing digital audit trails which also facilitates greater accountability for how funds are spent.

The framework lasts for five years and is accessible to central government departments and the wider public sector to use.

“We are delighted to be appointed to this framework, to support government with digital grant disbursement – making the process more efficient for government and more effective for citizens and businesses.”
