Capita Local Government has been appointed by the Education Funding Agency (EFA) to carry out a national programme of school condition data collection assessments, in a three-year contract.

Capita is one of four providers selected by the EFA to assess the state of school buildings in the Condition Data Collection (CDC) programme, which will be one of the largest and most innovative projects of its type in Europe.

About 22,000 schools will be included in the programme over the next three years, with Capita appointed to collect condition data on approximately 5,500 schools.

The CDC programme will build on the EFA’s Property Data Survey Programme (PDSP), which provided, for the first time, a consistent measure of condition and data on the size, condition, age and composition of the school estate in England.

Capita surveyed 5,000 schools as part of the PDSP across Yorkshire & the Humber, the South West and the North East of England. It offers expertise, scale, and flexibility to the CDC programme.
