The role of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Manager is to agree strategic decisions on levels of risk in relation to both Business Continuity and how this is supported by Disaster recovery.
What you’ll be doing:
• Maintaining disaster recovery plans for individual services and environment as required
• Responding to client requests for disaster recovery information and/or questionnaires, and attend client meetings
• Maintaining business continuity plans to ensure they are up to date with any changes
• Participating in all business continuity activity including walkthroughs, scenario testing BC and IT DR
• Supporting the Crisis Team/Incident Management team as required during and post any incidents
• Communicating with the head of IT with regards to change, ensuring all DR and BC requirements are captured
• Ensuring supplier BC/DR provisions meet requirements and are governed via relationship management processes
• Facilitating, Planning, Delivering IT Disaster Recovery Testing.
• Production of appropriate IT Disaster Recovery test plans and post test reports.
There maybe a requirement to work some weekends, however this is likely to be 6-8 weekends per year.
The ability to manage a team of resources and suppliers to deliver a successful DR for BBVC TVL and ensure that all issues, etc are logged and recorded.
What we’re looking for - 6 to 12 years experience in the delivery of IT DR and BC experience.
• Outstanding understanding of Disaster Recovery disciplines in a Business and IT environment
• Experience working within an IT Operational environment of a large scale company
• Experience with Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity planning
• Experience with Business Continuity standards/frameworks including ISO22301, BCI GPG, NIST
• Relevant work experience in a similar Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity Role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to engage a wide audience and manage stakeholders
