Capita plc today announces that Entrust Support Services, its joint venture with Staffordshire County Council (SCC), has agreed a further extension of its long‑standing partnership with the client.

The extension, which has been agreed with SCC in its capacity as client, runs from April 2026 to March 2029 and forms part of the existing 20-year‑ contract between Entrust and SCC. The total contract value for the extension is £17 million.

Through Entrust, Capita provides compliance and assurance services across 95 schools in Staffordshire, supporting over 23,000 students. These services help ensure the council meets its statutory obligations and that schools operate in safe, compliant and well‑maintained teaching environments.

This agreement supports Capita’s strategy of focusing on long-term, trusted public sector partnerships and investing in improved service delivery through technology, digital tools and data-‑driven insights. It will see the company continue to help SCC enhance educational outcomes and deliver essential operational services efficiently and effectively.

Andrew Conroy, Property Director at Capita, said: “We are pleased that Staffordshire County Council has chosen to extend its partnership with Entrust. Our longstanding collaboration reflects the quality of the services delivered and our shared commitment to supporting the county’s schools, communities and public buildings. We look forward to continuing to apply our expertise‑ and technology to help improve outcomes across Staffordshire.”

Cllr Sean Bagguley, Cabinet Member for Finance and Resources at SCC, said: “The continued partnership with Capita ensures the provision, through Entrust, of ongoing support for the education system in the county and beyond. It includes successful provision of high-quality public buildings and learning facilities as well as support for teaching and administration in schools and wider curriculum activities like outdoor education and music. As with any contractual arrangement we ensure that we get the very best value for money for Staffordshire people with efficient and innovative services.”
