Capita secures contract with SP Energy Networks (SPEN)

Capita Plc (Capita) has confirmed its Local Public Service (LPS) business has secured a contract with SP Energy Networks (SPEN) to provide a telecoms Network Operating Centre for the next four years, whilst supporting their vision of becoming a sustainable networks business.

SP Energy Networks, part of ScottishPower, is a transmission network operator and the UK’s second largest distribution operator in the UK, delivering electricity to around 12 million people across a network spanning more than 170,000 kilometres.

Effective from 1 May 2025, and in line with its focus on delivering people-based, tech enabled services for clients, Capita will deliver an enhanced telecoms Network Operations Centre (NOC) capability - operating at the heart of SP Energy Networks’ overall delivery model, ensuring the availability of critical services in a way that keeps pace with demand whilst delivering a more efficient operation.
