New role supports Group’s strategic transformation

Capita plc (‘Capita’ or the ‘Group’) today announces the appointment of Sameer Vuyyuru as Chief AI and Product Officer, effective 3 December 2024. Sameer will work closely with Capita’s Executive team to oversee and accelerate the Company’s Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) and product strategy.

The creation of this new role underscores Capita’s commitment to its technology and digital strategy which is a key driver of the Group’s strategic transformation and vision.

Sameer will focus on driving product innovation and delivering scalable and repeatable AI solutions that drive better outcomes for clients and the Group. This will include product strategies, creating comprehensive end-to-end solutions and cultivating hyperscaler and other key partner relationships.

Sameer brings over 25 years of experience in the global technology sector. He joins Capita from Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he is currently Director, Global Solutions and Partnerships, Telco and Edge Strategy, with responsibility for setting and executing the vision, strategy and partner engagements for the Communication Service Provider (CSP) segment. Prior to AWS, Sameer was founder and CEO of Wayz.ai, an AI platform for location intelligence. He has also held senior roles with Comtech, Semtech, Intersil and Texas Instruments.
