Standard former employee references for UK employees are now processed through our partner, Konfir.

Konfir will provide a fast, simple, and secure way to confirm employment data. Allowing Konfir to connect to trusted data sources ensures accurate, fraud-proof references in real-time.

The web address will redirect you to Capita’s dedicated Konfir’s web page, where you will be asked to share some details about the individual the reference is regarding. Before you commence, please ensure to have the individuals NI number, Date of Birth and email address.

On submission of your request Konfir will contact the individual to obtain their consent to share their data. Once authorised by the individual, you will receive the reference within 24hrs and will be notified by email.

Important notes:

Republic of Ireland (ROI) Employees: For reference requests relating to ROI-based employees, please complete the below designated form, please ensure you have the individual's PPS number.
Regulated or Safeguarding References: If you require a regulated or safeguarding reference, please complete the below appropriate form and clearly indicate the type of reference needed.
Agency or Independent Contractors: Capita is unable to provide employment references for individuals who worked via an agency or as independent contractors. Please direct such requests to the relevant agency.
