Capita is to become the first FTSE 250 company since the 1980s to appoint workers to its board of directors.

Capita chief executive Jon Lewis has underlined the company’s commitment to prompt payment of suppliers at a meeting hosted by the Chancellor at Number 11 Downing Street.
