Platform Engineer

What you'll be doing:

• work in a small agile team that creates our core infrastructure platforms

• collaborate with teammates to produce high quality solutions

• work with our architecture team to define our infrastructure/cloud technology roadmap

• work with our development teams to optimise our deployment pipelines, and help them transition to the cloud

• continually improve the reliability of our systems

• contribute to code reviews to keep quality high and technical debt as low as possible

• play a part in out of hours support and maintenance of the platform

What we're looking for:

• experience with Infrastructure-as-code tools and approach

• experienced in programming/scripting with PowerShell and/or BASH

• experienced in Linux and Windows system administration

• experience with cloud environments (Microsoft Azure)

• experience with containers and Kubernetes

• good understanding of networking, including TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP and DNS

• network skills including firewalls, routing, load balancers and VPNs
